Remembering those who have passed on

We wanted to have a moment of silence at out reunion for those from our high school class that had passed on.  It is important to remember them and the influence they have had on our lives and the tragedy of a life cut short.  Although we had a moment, we listed no names in the fear of forgetting someone.  Now with time stretching out before us for the next 5 or 10 years, let's see if we can name by name each of those from our class who have passed on.  Please comment on this post to add someone you know.  Add a link to a picture or obituary if you can find one.  Thanks for everyone's help.

Deadline extended!

We've had a great response to our reunion, but we've decided to extend the date to Monday, July 25 for all you procrastinators!  No, really, we want a little more time to spread the word.  If you have friends from high school who you are still in contact with, if there are friends you'd really like to see, if you run into someone at the grocery store or swimming lessons, please spread the word!  Phone them, email them, let them know!  You can direct them to this blog or give them my email:  jacmpc@yahoo.com.  Or sign them up on our facebook page!

Roy High Class of 1991 Alumni Only Friday Night Activity!

Date: Friday August 5th
Place: Roy High Football Field
Who: Alumni only
Time: 7:00 pm - Whenever

Thank you all for your input. Remember this is just a casual gathering for friends, the big activity comes Saturday at the Timbermine(RSVP NOW!). This is the plan for Friday. We will start to arrive at 7:00 pm. We will provide name tags for everybody. Please wear them so we all can avoid uncomfortable situations. At 8:00 those who would like to take a quick (optional) tour of the hallowed halls of RHS will get that opportunity. When the tour is finished it will be about time to turn on the lights on the field and spend the rest of the night catching up with old friends. At some point the city will require us to turn off the lights at the field, but I am not sure what time that will be. When that happens, I suggest we all meet at Hardees :)

Please go out of your way to pass these details on to anybody from our class, especially those not on facebook. There is not much time and I would hate to have people left out.

Also don’t forget to RSVP for the Saturday night dinner at the Timbermine. You can find the form at royhighclassof1991reunion.blog​spot.com. I know the senior class officers have put a lot of time into a great program. It should be a great evening.

One night not enough to relive all the fun and friendships of high school?

I guess for some of us one night is just not enough.  I received this email from Jake Schulz for those of you who would like a second night (although it comes first) of reunion time:

Hi everybody! I have the RHS football field reserved for Friday August the 5th. Lets meet at 7pm and catch up on old times on in to the night. If you have ideas or would like to help organize let me know.
